Hi, I'm Anneka, and I'm so glad you're here.

I'm a full-time corporate employee, a mum in a wonderfully blended family, and the person behind She Builds Quietly.

Like a lot of women, I didn't wake up one day wanting to become an entrepreneur. I simply wanted a little more breathing room. More financial security. More choices. Maybe enough extra income to pay for holidays without putting them on a credit card, replace my ageing car without the stress, or eventually work because I want to—not because I have to.

The problem was that every time I searched for ways to make money online, I found the same advice.

Post more on social media.
Go viral.
Work harder.
Scale faster.

None of it felt like me.

I'm naturally quite a private person. I don't love being on camera, and I've never wanted my entire life to become my business. I knew there had to be another way—one that fitted around a full-time job, family life, and the reality that most of us don't have endless hours to spare.

So I started learning.

I built websites that never really went anywhere. Bought courses that overcomplicated everything. Tried ideas that flopped spectacularly and a few that quietly worked. Somewhere along the way, I realised I enjoyed building the systems almost as much as the income they created.

That's what this blog is really about.

Not chasing overnight success.

Not pretending I've cracked some secret code.

Just sharing what I'm learning, what's working, what isn't, and hopefully making your path a little easier than mine was.

These days you'll find me writing about blogging, Pinterest, digital products, affiliate marketing and creating online income in ways that feel sustainable rather than exhausting. If I can simplify something, automate it, or make it easier for another busy woman to understand, I'm all in.

When I'm not behind my laptop, life is fairly ordinary—and I like it that way. I work remotely, juggle family life, drink more coffee than I should, spend time in the garden convincing myself I know what I'm doing, and dream about weekends by the ocean.

I don't believe success has to be loud.

I think you can build something meaningful without sharing every moment online. You can grow slowly, change direction when you need to, and create a business that fits your life instead of asking your life to fit your business.
